ANURA VINEYARDS
Anura Vineyards is owned and run by Tymen, Jenny and Lance Bouma.
Positioned on the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountains, Anura boasts a wide variety of soils, slopes and microclimates.
In the vineyards, Tymen strives to utilise practices that best suit a particular varietal, including specific canopy management, control of the yield, trellising and irrigation control. Grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness. They are first machine-sorted to remove leaves, broken berries and stalks, and then hand-sorted to ensure only the best bunches are selected for crushing.

BADGER & MOUNTAIN
Inspired by Cape Town’s beautiful Fauna and Flora, Badger & Mountain have created their original and delectable Cape Red & Cape White Blends. Ignite your senses and enjoy the fragrant and smooth flavours of the Cape! In wine making, they believe in minimal interference, picking by hand, -whole bunch-and natural fermentation with older oak aging. Ensuring a wine that reflects its terroir.
Passion, patience and pride is the philosophy that drives the energy behind the label.

CAPE WINE COMPANY
Cape Wine Company was founded in 2010 by Erlank Erasmus, a qualified winemaker on a quest to share the exceptional wines produced in the Cape Winelands of South Africa with wine lovers across the globe.
Cape Wine Company is also proud to give back to the communities that assist in producing their wines, from vine to bottle, through participating in the Fairtrade initiative. This initiative ensures that farm communities in the South African wine industry benefit through sustainability and equality.

DIE KAT SE SNOR
Gerhard Smith’s Day job is as part of the winemaking team for Creation Wines in the Hemel en Aarde. He makes the Kat se Snor (the Cat’s Whiskers) wines as his own side project – a few small parcel, hand (and foot) crafted wines of individual character and texture.
Asked about his winemaking philosophy Gerhard’s reply is short and to the point: “Farm right, then don’t stuff it up in the winery. My aim is to make elegant, terroir-driven wines that are fun to drink, and I’m delighted to be working with the wonderful sites we have at our disposal on the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge.”

EIKENDAL
Eikendal Vineyards, with its distinctive barrel-vaulted cellar and towering fountain, is a landmark on the R44 road between Somerset West and Stellenbosch. Situated in the “Golden Triangle” of wine growing, Eikendal vineyards flourish in a mountain and maritime microclimate, ideal for the production of quality wine. Since 1981, the 76-hectare wine farm has been under the ownership of the Saager family from Zürich, Switzerland. The Swiss owners recognised the great potential of the area and wasted no time in modernising the existing vineyards and establishing the cellar.

GROOT PHESANTEKRAAL
Groot Phesantekraal was first granted in 1698 to Olof Bergh, a colourful character who, despite spectacular brushes with the law which resulted in him being imprisoned on Robben Island for some years, managed to regain his stature and accumulate great wealth, including numerous farms.
The farm was passed from the Bergh family to the Louw family who lived there for several generations before it was eventually acquired by Arend Brink in 1897. While the Brink family originated in the Cape, Arend was a transport rider between the diamond and gold fields up north before settling on this farm on the outskirts of Durbanville.

KLOOVENBURG
Energy and enthusiasm, purpose and vision. The du Toits of Kloovenburg Wine & Olive Estate have these – by the barrelful. Enough to achieve the high standards they have set for their wines and enough to maintain a proud family tradition through decades to come.

LONGRIDGE
Longridge Wine Estate is proud to be leading the way in sustainable wine farming by utilising the power of the sun. Solar panels help them reduce their carbon footprint, improve their profitability, and operate more efficiently.
Focussing on the varieties that are best suited to their climate and soils; Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc (Steen) have both proven themselves over the years as well as the classic red varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and of course South African Pinotage.
We do not want to make all the various additions modern winemakers use to produce wines quicker and cheaper. Accordingly, we use less sulphur dioxide and no commercial yeast, enzymes, fining agents, stabilising agents or filtration methods.
“Our philosophy is simple – we want to make enjoyable wines that are healthy to drink and of a world-class standard.”
Jasper Raats – Cellar Master & General Manager

SAXENBURG

Today, their legacy extends far beyond, with a diverse range of exceptional wines enjoyed across the globe. Experience the passion, precision, and perseverance that define Saxenburg—where every bottle tells a story.

STRANDVELD
The Strandveld Vineyards span 69 hectares of Cape Agulhas, with an approximate annual rainfall of 450 mm and colder average temperatures this cool climate lends itself to Sauvignon Blanc as the dominant white varietal with smaller blocks of Semillon and Viognier. Red varietals include Shiraz and Pinot noir interspersed with pockets of Grenache and Mourvèdre.
It is a unique and mysterious combination of extreme conditions and hardened landscapes that brings to life the distinct qualities and characters of Strandveld grapes. Constant gusts of Atlantic Sea wind contribute to a relatively cooler climate in the Elim ward – and it is these same persistent cooling winds that aid in disease prevention by keeping the grapes dry, allowing for extended ripening periods and consequently keeping the yields low. The result? Small, intensely flavoured berries with great winemaking potential.
Their soils are classified as shallow to medium deep duplex soils which, whilst relatively poor in nutrients, are rich in minerals that contribute to the distinctive characteristics of the Strandveld Vineyards wines.

WELTEVREDE
The Jonker family has lived on Weltevrede since 1912. The estate was founded by Klaas Jonker, whose pioneering soul led him to plant the first vines in the area. In the 1930’s Weltevrede was inherited by his son, Japie Jonker, who in 1933 began wine farming on Weltevrede. Japie expanded the winery of Weltevrede to accommodate the growing grape production.
The third generation, Lourens Jonker, completed his degree in viniculture and undertook extensive study tours of the wine lands of Europe and California in 1962 before settling down to farm on Weltevrede. After the death of his father in 1969, Lourens took over the 65ha farm. He subsequently purchased neighbouring farms Muscadel (1969), River’s Edge (1981) and Sonop (1999). Today all the farms are consolidated as a 160-hectare estate.
